State universities freeze fees for another year
The council says the next review is in March.
State universities will keep tuition fees at this year's level for another academic year, the council of vice chancellors announced.
It is the second consecutive freeze. The council said universities had cut costs by sharing library subscriptions and moving some first year lectures online.
What it means for students
Returning and new students will pay the same tuition as this year. Accommodation and meal fees are set by each university and are not covered by the freeze.
The council said the next review of fees will take place in March, once the government confirms its grant to universities for the following year.
